Zojuist heb ik reactie uit Canada ontvangen met betrekking tot de hoeveelheid koper in de Orijen Original en andere recepten.

All of our recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional guidelines for dogs as established by FEDIAF. Based on their requirements, we formulate to the minimum requirement of 7.3 mg/kg of copper (DM) in our adult maintenance diets and 12.4 mg/kg for our All Life Stages diets (DM).
While there is natural variation due to the ingredients in ORIJEN, the typical amount of copper found in ORIJEN Original dog food is 20.2 mg/kg.
Our recipe with the lowest typical amount of copper is the ACANA Light & Fit Recipe, with 13 mg/kg copper.
If a dog has been diagnosed with liver disease, we recommend they be handled on an individual basis by a licensed veterinarian as clinical conditions may have specific nutritional requirements that cannot be met through traditional diets.
